Why don’t schools just make condoms available for students to have free access to?

You have probably heard condoms referred to as “protection”, but you probably have not heard the percentage for how much they actually protect. Even with consistent (used every time), correct use, condoms do not prevent STDS that are spread through skin to skin genital contact.

Consistent condom use cannot prevent the negative emotional impact associated with teen sexual activity.

An interesting study was done in 2009 which tested the vaginal fluid of girls who said they always used condoms with their boyfriends. The study found that 34% of the girls had the male chromosome in their vaginal fluid, meaning that even with the use of a condom, sperm was still getting by the barrier.
