Proven Effectiveness
From fall of 2015 to spring 2020, over 15,000 middle school students and 5,000 high school students in West Michigan participated in Willing to Wait. At the beginning and the end of their involvement in the Willing to Wait program students were invited to complete a survey.
“The change in students’ responses from the pre-program survey to the post-program survey was so robust that it was also evident when we separately examined each of the three–sub-scales – those measuring attitudes, knowledge, and behavioral intentions. Is SRA programming effective?
In 2010, U.S. Congress regrettably ended funding for 169 SRA studies in motion. Thankfully, 25 peer reviewed studies were able to completed. Here are the findings from those 25 programs and research showing additional 40 plus studies from the Department of Health and Human Services. Compared to their peers, students in SRA education programs are more likely to delay sexual initiation; if sexually active, more likely to discontinue or decrease their sexual activity; and no less likely to use a condom if they initiate sex. Click here to learn more
Is SRR programming effective?
